Many of us do this without realising - we "prepare" for Christmas by trying to make ourselves "more worthy" to receive Christ. Instead, we often end up feeling further away from God.
What if we could encounter the God-With-Us who does not mind entering into our shame and who knows shame himself? Can we relax and look forward more to however Christ may choose to enter our lives this Christmas? Can we make room for our own shame and be at peace in our spiritual and emotional poverty?
